While your input is very welcome, number 1 among our goals is to find people who love the Cali Cruzer. For every bike product on the market there is someone who loves it and someone who hates it.
Could we consider an electric version in the future? Yes and in fact the motor is only a small piece of the uniquely engineered total solution that makes up a Cali Cruzer. Offering options later on that serve a broader client base is certainly possible.

You’d like to ride a beach cruiser without being confined to flat roads.
Being able to turn on a motor and get somewhere appeals to you.
You’re an early adopter and don’t mind standing out of the crowd.
Using gasoline @ 100+ MPG sounds eco-friendly enough for you.
You live near enough to a gas station to buy half a gallon of gas each week.
Buying into a community of Cruzers sounds better than going it alone.

Product wise: Hand assembled ready to Cruze and DIY Cruze Kit.
Purchasing now/Inventory: We are setting up a secure escrow option for putting down a good faith deposit on your own Cruzer or Cruzer Kit.
All of the Cali Cruisers are made by hand, including the mounting hardware and the upgraded consumables that are assembled into a Cali Cruzer. We do not frown on the idea of made outside of America so much as we refuse to deliver anything but the best. In order to meet stringent quality control specifications we do all of the sourcing and manufacturing right here in the Bay Area. So rather than turn the machines on and off each time a new buyer comes to the table, the machines that mill out and craft custom mechanical pieces, we run them in batches of 30. You put down your non-refundable deposit and it’s a commitment to buy. If the time span of the commitment expires or Cali Cruzers fails for any reason to round up 29 other buyers then you get your money back. As long as we fill the batch, everyone is expected to pony up the difference and pay for the entire Cali Cruzer before we manufacture it. What this does is give us the income required to successfully batch our manufacturing into nearly profitable runs. It allows you to own one at a reasonable price.
If we sold them one at a time the price would be around $5,000.
Currently orders are $2,000 and a deposit is $400. That $3,000 difference is amortized among the buyers making it a win-win x30.
